PRESS: VEB-Leasing cannot find clients for 42 Transaero jets
MOSCOW, Mar 16 (PRIME) -- Russia’s VEB-Leasing will soon receive 42 aircraft ordered for defunct airline Transaero but cannot find new clients for them, business daily Vedomosti reported on Friday, citing executives of three leasing companies and two airlines.
VEB-Leasing could have made an about U.S. $240 million prepayment for the order estimated at $2.4 billion and will lose the money if it refuses to acquire the aircraft, according to the sources.
The delivery of the first two aircraft is scheduled for the end of 2018 and no delays are planned, representative of Boeing Yelena Aleksandrova said.
